Yesterday I went out for a walk around my neighborhood with my camera. Â I’d noticed on previous early morning walks how beautiful these Chollas look with rising sun backlighting them. Â Chollas are also known as “Teddy Bear” or “Jumping” cactus. Â But the more amusing name hikers use is the “wait a minute” bush. Â Because if you make the mistake of walking too close to one, a piece will literally JUMP on to you and you will say to your fellow hikers…. Â “whoa guys, wait a minute”. Â This is a nasty little cactus, so admire from a distance… Â **wink**
