Carmina and Ryan, wedding day ~ Palm Springs photographer

Carmina and Ryan had originally planned to get married closer to home, but things fell through with their original venue, so they decided on Palm Springs since they love it out here so much.  I simply can’t say enough about these two.  They were SO lovely…  and sweet together.  So delightful to witness them get married, surrounded by their friends and family. The joy overflowed!

Nostalgia on Film

I’ve been finding myself a bit nostalgic lately, it’s summer and things are slowing down here in the desert…   See, I used to shoot film.  Yup, an entire wedding on nothing but film. I still shoot a little bit, but not a whole wedding.  It’s a lovely medium, very soft, very simple….  and imperfect.  But it’s the imperfections in everything that I find so interesting.  I love the grain and the scratches, it shows character.  Here are a couple of my favorites from Kathleen Robertson’s Wedding at the O’Donnell House in Palm Springs, 2004.

All you need is Love ~ Palm Springs Wedding photographer

Such a lovely affair at the O’Donnell house, which is one of my FAVORITE venues for weddings.  These guys had such style… and their friends and family were fabulous, so welcoming and FUN!  I loved the pops of color as well as the personal and emotional vows. (yes, I teared up) Thank you Eric and Frank, I TRULY enjoyed photographing your fabulous wedding…  and thanks for letting me play, we got some FUN images!!  A special thanks to  Rooted in Love Weddings for all your help, it all went beautifully!  As always the decor by Artisan Events was stunning and flawless.  Le Vallauris outdid themselves with the food and James Gonzales got the party going and KEPT it going…..  it was such a fun night!

Very special thanks to Gina Goldman for second shooting with me, you are awesome girl!

Julie Edwards - Looks like a joyous event. I especially love the portraits in black and white and the details.May 1, 2013 – 10:41 pm

Danielle Richards - Chris, these are wonderful! you captured so many great moments, and I love how you used the reception lighting to create such energy in the dancing images. Your clients are lucky to have you as their photographer!May 2, 2013 – 12:20 pm
