1. Regal Palm Springs Stadium 9
This is the main theater for downtown Palm Springs. A lengthy four block walk from Palm Canyon on East Tahquitz Canyon Way brings you to the modern theater.
Address: 789 E Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs
Pros: Closest regular theater to Palm Springs. Walking distance from Palm Canyon. Free parking in garage behind theater.
Cons: Not immediately adjacent to much shopping, in quiet open-air mall.

2. Mary Pickford Theatre
This is the closest main theater to Palm Springs other than Regal Stadium 9. Located on Highway 111 between Palm Springs and the rest of the valley.
Address: 36-850 Pickfair Street, Cathedral City
Pros: Large number of screens. Covered parking available. Near IMAX theater for variety.
Cons: A bit isolated in its own complex.

3. Regal Rancho Mirage Stadium 16
This conveniently located valley theater has 16 screens and is close to 1-10 off of the Monterey exit. Drive south off I-10 and turn right on Dinah Shore Drive. Theater is on left behind Red Robin.

Pros: Central location, near shopping and across Monterey from Starbucks. Has ample parking.
Cons: Not in the heart of the valley. Open-air parking can leave vehicle hot in summer.

4. Cinemas Palme D’Or
This in-mall theater shows blockbusters as well as smaller films. The theater is in the largest mall in the valley but the entrance is located on the north side of the mall, with no direct interior mall access. A door/hallway to the left of the theater leads up stairs to mall food court.

Pros: In the heart of the valley. In mall and near upscale shopping on El Paseo. Covered parking. Wide selection of food and drink, including beer or wine during select showtimes.
Cons: No stadium seating. No easy mall access. Parking can be slightly difficult during holidays due to mall.

5. Century Theatres at the River
This theater is located just off Highway 111 in The River open-air mall complex. The 16 screens offer many choices. Almost all blockbusters are here or at the Cinemas Palm D’Or located a short drive away. Theater is in open-air mall with plenty of restaurants and other shopping. Near upscale shopping on El Paseo.

Pros: In open-air mall which includes a Starbucks. 16 screens. Early shows are sparsely attended.
Cons: Open-air parking can leave vehicle hot in summer.
