Oh the wonderful and unpredictable chaos of multi-family holiday photo sessions! I had so much fun with this family just before Christmas. It was grandma and grandpa and their two kids’ families. I just so adore the wacky silliness that goes on while trying herd all the babies to the spot you want them and getting them to focus and possibly even look at the camera. So much chaos and I love every minute of it! (I also count sessions like these as my cardio for the day)

These Palm Springs Holiday photo shenanigans are a perfect reminder that the most meaningful family photographs aren’t about perfect poses—they’re about connection, personality, and the moments in between. From playful childhood curiosity to quiet, tender interactions between grandparents and grandchildren, this session beautifully reflects the heart of multi-generation family photography. By embracing a documentary approach, the focus stays on what really matters: real relationships, shared laughter, and memories that feel honest and timeless. These are the kinds of images that grow more valuable with time, telling your family’s story exactly as it is—warm, imperfect, and full of love.
