Ok, so Maureen or “Mo” as she is called by her friends and family, contacted me about her very small wedding last fall. She wanted to meet up and chat about it as she thought that maybe I wouldn’t want to take a small job. Nothing could be further from the truth! I LOVE photographing the small, intimate weddings just as much as the larger ones. The smaller weddings are wonderful because I can really focus on the couple and their interactions with their friends and family. I love to document the sweet moments, the quiet moments, the moments when they think nobody is looking and let their guard down a little bit. Those images are gold.
Mo and Christoph met with me ahead of their wedding in Indian Wells/Palm Desert. We met up at Starbucks and hit it off immediately! You see, Mo and Christoph share my love of travel and adventure, they have travelled all over the world. Christoph runs the Renaissance Esmerelda in Indian Wells and that is where we met up on the wedding day for family portraits as well as some fun couples photos on the lawn. Then we were off to Palm Desert for the ceremony in the courtyard at Cuistot, a fabulous french restaurant just off El Paseo.
The ceremony was so personal and heartfelt, a friend performed the ceremony and several friends and family stood up and spoke. It was so lovely. Take a peek!
I mean HOW cute are these two? Gah!! And can we stop and talk about Mo’s dress for a minute please? How stunning does she look? She had the dress custom made by a designer in London that she loves. I love the color and nontraditional cut, it suits her perfectly! Christoph of course looks so dapper in his purple button down dress shirt. Perfection.
