I got to close out 2024 with the Smith Family and what a lovely family they were! Grandma and Grandpa live part time here in the desert and part time somewhere very snowy… and their son and daughter-in-law and grand kids live on the other side of the country in Vermont. (also very snowy and cold, brrrrrrr).
So it was pretty fun for them and the two littles to be able to run around the park in La Quinta, at the end of DECEMBER, in short sleeves and pretty dresses! They were so lovely to work with and the two girls were stinking adorable and fun. As a photographer, shooting in a park has it’s pros and cons, often its difficult to eliminate distracting elements like people or playground equipment, but the Civic Center Park in the heart of La Quinta is designed really beautifully with plenty of trees and little hills so there are ample pretty spots to shoot that don’t involve annoying and distracting elements.
