Is eloping the right option for you?  Well obviously only you and your sweetie can decide that, for some it’s the ideal solution for what should be the happiest moments in your life.

Sometimes family just lives too far away,  or family dynamics can make a big wedding stressful.  Often times it’s just a budget issue, or perhaps you just aren’t into the big fancy weddings with lots of people.

Here are some lovely images taken at some of my favorite elopements in the past.  Full disclosure, I LOVE photographing elopements, I get to really connect with my couple without the many stresses of bigger weddings.

I’ve listed a few “pros” for eloping to Palm Springs or as you’ll see in the photos, Joshua Tree and even Big Bear!

Ok, so you may be saying… “ok Chris, those look like some fun photos in lovely locations, but I’m still not convinced its for me”.  That’s fair below I’ve listed a few thoughts to consider if you are still on the fence about eloping to my neighborhood or surrounding areas.

  1. Stunning Natural Beauty: Palm Springs is nestled in the Coachella Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains and awe-inspiring desert landscapes. The area is known for its stunning natural beauty, with breathtaking sunsets, palm trees, and unique desert plants… mostly very prickly! 🙂 Eloping in Palm Springs allows you to exchange vows in an environment that is truly a feast for the eyes!
  2. The weather,  Palm Springs is known for  offering more than 300 days of sunshine a year. We have very mild winters and hot summers, making it an ideal destination for couples looking for a warm and sunny elopement experience. The pleasant weather enables outdoor ceremonies and provides excellent opportunities for stunning wedding photos.
  3. Unique Wedding Venues: Palm Springs offers a wide array of unique and distinctive wedding venues that cater to various tastes and preferences. From luxurious resorts and boutique hotels to intimate desert retreats and private estates, you can find a venue that perfectly matches your vision. Whether you prefer a modern, mid-century, or bohemian aesthetic, Palm Springs has options to suit every couple’s style.  I can certainly help you with suggestions as well as recommending officiants, florists and even a wedding coordinator if you really want to just show up and not have to worry about a thing!
  4. Privacy and Intimacy: Eloping to Palm Springs allows you to have an intimate and private wedding ceremony. With fewer guests, you can focus solely on each other, creating a more personal and meaningful experience. Whether you choose a secluded desert location, a rooftop venue with panoramic views, or a hidden garden, Palm Springs offers the tranquility and privacy necessary for a romantic elopement.  Without strict timelines to follow, you have the freedom to take your time not only with your ceremony but also with the photo session afterwards. (See what I did there, yes, I’m selfish and want you all to myself to make pretty pictures!!)
  5. And last but not least, SO much to do!  . After your elopement, you guys go golfing, hiking or check out downtown for a little shopping.  Or, do nothing at all at the pool!  Well, get a tan and enjoy a cocktail of course 😀  There are also lots of world class spas where you can go and get your pamper on.  So there you have it, have I convince you yet?  Ha Ha!  Feel free to give me a call or drop me an email if you HAVE decided to elope to Palm Springs and want some ideas and/or guidance.  I can offer up lots of wonderful vendors that I adore working with who can help contribute to your perfect day.
