Now, calling them business portraits sounds very formal and I can assure you, my style and approach is anything but! As with all aspects of my photography, I like to keep things casual and fun and low stress. I don’t have a fancy studio with lights and backdrops. I don’t use posing stools or reflectors or…. well anything but my camera and light and environment available to me.

So. If you need new portraits ( I hate the term “headshots” ) for whatever reason… maybe a new promotion? Or perhaps you just landed your dream job and it requires a photo for your profile page. Or maybe you started a business… it doesn’t matter, a new professional portrait is important! For one thing it helps to mark this new chapter you are embarking on, you will look back at this photograph in the coming years and remember how excited you were about your new adventure!

Its also important for your clients/customers to get a clear picture (pun intended) of exactly who you are. People like to see the face who they will be dealing with and with a professional portrait you can show them what to expect. You can be serious and stoic, or you can be smiley and silly or you can be a bit of both, you decide what YOU want to get across to your viewers.
