Ahh, the Stone family, simply delightful! They were my very last family last year, we photographed this session on New Years Eve! What a sweet and loving family they were, they wanted some fun and casual family photos to remember their trip to southern California and they brought both in spades! Take a look at these lovely captures:
This heartwarming set of images captures a tender moment between a father and his daughter, each frame exuding affection and familial love against a serene outdoor backdrop. Love two of them standing side by side on a meandering path at the park in Palm Desert. The image on the right is my favorite though, dad casually but protectively embracing his daughter. The close bond these two share is undeniable.
If this set of images doesn’t perfectly encapsulate the mother/daughter relationship, I don’t know what does! We go from a simple relaxed portrait, to mom giving her daughter a little kiss on the forehead, to the final image in which this pre-teen, who clearly loves and is close to her mom, is a bit embarrased by the show of affection. So cute!
Just because you are grown-ups doesn’t mean you can’t be silly and have fun! I love this sequence, it shows the love and connection this mom and dad have for one another.
The littles always find treasures during family sessions and I love to showcase that. They are so proud of the fun items they discover during the session, I think its nice to document that!
Some simple, casual, no fuss individual portraits is always a must, particularly for the younger members of the family. They change so much and SO quickly, its important to capture nice portraits.
Its fun to capture some “off beat” moments. I was photographing Grandma and Grandpa with their young daughter (image on the right), when I realized there was some action behind me, so I swung around and grabbed the photo on the left of dad and uncle being silly with kiddo!
Getting the whole family together is a big deal and I’m always honored when a family calls me to ask for photos to document the occasion. I know how hectic and crazy peoples lives can get, so I am always delighted to meet up with families who make getting these photos a priority.
I call these the “in between moments”… The image on the left is dad and son just having a moment during some down time and the image on the right is a hilarious photobomb, which I LOVE!!

Grandma and Grandpa, how cute are these two? They were reluctant to take time away from their grandbabies, but I had to insist on grabbing this casual portrait. Love them!
These cuties!! They were so good and well behaved, I loved capturing this fun photo of the three cousins seated on the stone bench at the park in Palm Desert.
This lovely family of four, they were SO much fun. Just relaxed and goofy and the littles were a bundle of energy! But I managed to wrangle them into a sweet family portrait on the stone benches.
